Hello! My name is Sarah, and I first became fascinated by the brain during my undergraduate degree at Queen’s University when I read the book Left Neglected by Lisa Genova. Since then, I have been determined to learn everything about the brain I can. This passion shaped my decision to work in neurorehabilitation.

I am a registered physiotherapist with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. I completed my Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto (UofT) in 2017, and then completed a Doctorate Degree also at UofT, in Rehabilitation Science with a Collaborative Specialization in Neuroscience. I have since taken continuing education courses, most recently an Advanced Bobath Concept course and a Functional Movement Disorder course.

I enjoy getting to know my clients, determining which treatments work best for them, and most importantly, helping them reach their individual goals. When I am not in the clinic, I teach within the McMaster University Physiotherapy Program or contribute to research that aims to improve healthcare in Canada. I also may be rock climbing, going for walks with my husband, or catching up with friends.
